Indus was founded because accessing South Asian fashion is much harder than it should be. For American women, finding South Asian garments poses many hurdles - proper sizing, plenty of variety, and affordability. We want women to be able to experiment with different styles & silhouettes and find garments that make them feel beautiful & confident.
Another major driving force behind Indus was the realization that it’s easy to get caught up in our daily routines and lose sight of our roots. Indus gives us the opportunity to explore Indian fashion and get excited to adorn ourselves with garments that tell stories of our beautiful culture and history. It allows us to celebrate South Asian craft and be proud of showcasing it.
It’s been a labor of love getting Indus up and running, and I’m so grateful to be able to share it with all of you. I started Indus, because I like to use fashion as a way to express myself, and I wasn't able to do that with the existing Indian garment purchase options. I hope Indus gives you the opportunity to explore your personal style, connect with our roots, and have a little fun while you’re at it.
